Milwaukee '09 Day 1 & 2

Travelled to Milwaukee yesterday to come visit Cheane and Kirstyn. Got up at 5:30 UK time, flew from London Heathrow to Toronto in Canada. From the another flight to Chicago and then a bus to Milwaukee.

The weather is great, about 28 degrees with blue skies and sunshine!! When I finally got to bed last night I was awake for 26 hours, in an effort to BEAT THE JET LAG!

Today we went down to Lake Michigan - which is only 5 minutes from Cheane's house. It's so big, its like the sea. I think England will fit in lake Michigan.

Tonight we might just go down to the Summer Fest to see a couple of bands play.

Britain's Got Talent

After a lovely Champagne breakfast for Leon's 35th Birthday, Dad, Mom and I went to see the Britains got Talent road show at Wembley Arena on Sunday 22 June!! So much fun!!!

Great to see all the amazing acts live in action!

Biritsh and Irish Lions tour SA

On Saturday 21st June I went to the pub with Willie and Dad to watch the first test between the Springboks and the British and Irish Lions!!

Liam's Birthday

On the 30th of May we celebrated Liam's first birthday at Leon and Elizma's house. All their friends with all their little ones came around, and the weather was gorgeous!!!

Happy Birthday my GORGEOUS little nephew!!!

Surely there's something to smile about......

Just wanted to share:
I was just walking my dog in the local neighbourhood, and we passed a house where a man was mowing his front lawn. Murphy walked over onto the grass, a meter or so, to say hello, to which the man replied to me: "Can you get that dog off my garden!" I just smiled.....

When do you think people change from friendly children to being so miserable that they have to make a comment like this to a complete stranger walking their dog on a spring afternoon........ So Sad!!

I'm glad I still have things to smile about!

C'mon Summer

With summer around the corner, Dad helped me sort out my front garden today. He weeded the beds while I mowed the lawn, and after he left I spread some bark chips to finish it off. Looks nice now!

Easter 2009

On Easter Sunday I went to visit Frieda and Johan. Frieda mad a sumptuous Peppermint Crisp Tart, which we ate way toooooo much of!

We went to Windsor for the day. We went of a 40 minute boat cruise down the River Thames, walked around the outside of the castle and in town, and went for Sunday Roast at the pub.
